How do I login?

At the bottom of every page there is a link that will allow you to login. You will need an account and will need to activate that account in order to login. See the questions below for more information.

How do I create an account?

Accounts can be created by going to www.michiganhoa.com/account/signup and entering the required information. You will need a valid email address, your account activation information will be sent there.

Why do I need to create an account?

Accounts are used to allow house officers and prospective house officers to use the community message boards to communicate about various aspects of life and work in Ann Arbor and at the University of Michigan.

Why do I need to activate my account?

Account activation is required in order to prevent message board spam and to ensure only house officers and other approved users are able to create posts on the community message boards and to use other areas of the site. A valid email address needs to be provided when you sign up; your activation information is sent there.

How do I activate my account?

You will receive an email at the address you provided during signup that will provide a link and activation code. By clicking the link in your email, or copy and pasting the link into your browser, your account will be verified and activated. You will receive an email verifying account activation. Should you encounter any problems please use the Administration link on the website to contact us.

How do I use the message boards?

You will need to be login in order to create new posts or to comments on other posts. A link to create new posts is near the top of the page of each category, and a link to comment on a post is at the bottom of each post. Posts have been categorized to help facilitate the sharing of information. Each post should contain questions or comments about a single topic, this will help others in the future when searching for particular information.

What am I allowed to post on the message boards?

All posts are viewable by the general public and should be treated as such. We do not recommend posting private or sensitive information and encourage all users to be respectful in their posts and comments. Offensive topics, language, or other posts or comments deemed inappropriate will be removed.

Can I report a post or a comment as inappropriate?

Yes. Please contact us via the Administrative page (please copy and paste the address from your browser in message) if you find any posts or comments you deem inappropriate.
